The Board of SCi Entertainment Group, the UK\'s leading computer games publisher, is pleased to announce that the level of sales activity in the first six months of the financial year, to 31 December 2005, has exceeded ?0 million.

This is approximately ?5 million better than the Group\'s internal budget. As the major portion of the Group\'s revenues arise in the second half of the financial year to 30 June 2006, the Group has not revised its internal budget for the financial year as a whole.

Additional sales arose primarily from the continued distribution of Lego Star Wars, on Sony Playstation 2, Microsoft Xbox, PC and Nintendo Gameboy Advance. This product was also successfully launched on the Nintendo Gamecube in October 2005. Lego Star Wars has performed particularly well in the United States, demonstrating the strength of the Group\'s US publishing operation.

The major portion of the Group\'s revenues will arise in the second half of the financial year to 30 June 2006 as a result of the strong line up of new products due for release, including the eagerly awaited next installment of the Tomb Raider franchise, Lara Croft Tomb Raider Legend.

We are also pleased to announce further versions of Lara Croft - Tomb Raider. Lara Croft Tomb Raider Legend will be launched on the Sony PSP in Summer 2006. In addition we are developing a special edition of Tomb Raider to celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of Lara Croft, clearly established as one of the icons of video games.

The six months to 31 December 2005 was the first full six month period following SCi\'s acquisition of Eidos in May 2005. The integration of SCi and Eidos is now complete and the Group remains confident of delivering its plans for the full financial year.

In October 2005, the Board of SCi announced that it had received approaches that may or may not lead to an offer for the Group. The Board remains in discussions and will update shareholders as to any developments when appropriate.

Iranian property multimillionaire Robert Tchenguiz is behind Thorson Investments, a vehicle that has secretly built a 15% stake in SCI Entertainment, the computer game company which makes the successful Lara Croft game series, Tomb Raider, The Business Online reports this evening.

Tchenguiz is thought to have built the SCI stake as an investment play because the business is trading at eight times projected multiples. Having already amassed a considerable stake in SCi - Tchenguiz snapped up 5.3 million shares at 475p on Friday shortly after financier Robert Bonnier dumped 4 million shares valued at 475p.

Speculation is still rife of a potential sale of SCi Entertainment Group since the company announced last October it would entertain possible suitors.

SCi Entertainment Group, the computer games developer which last year took over British rival Eidos, may find that its own takeover talks do not result in a bid, The Independent reports this morning.

The company admitted it had received two approaches last October, just weeks after consummating the deal with Eidos, but yesterday the shares tumbled almost 7 per cent as the speculator Robert Bonnier was heard to have been selling his long-standing interest in the company.

SCi Entertainment Group aquired Eidos in 2005 following a three month bidding war with U.S. equity group Elevation Partners, helmed by Irish rock star Bono. As part of the deal, SCi gained control of three industry leading interllectual properties, including Tomb Raider, Hitman and Champsionship Manager.
